Chilli Dark Chocolate Bar

Chilli and chocolate are such an unusual combination, but has become so popular over the years; and simply had to be a part of the Choc Affair signature chocolate bar collection! They use real chilli flakes to add a slight warmth to the chocolate; but don’t worry, this is not an overpowering taste!

Chilli chocolate may not be for everyone; but we have handcrafted this vegan chocolate bar so that the chilli flakes add a slight warmth to the chocolate; but not so that it is overpowering.

Choc Affair handmade dark chocolate has a sweetness that lulls  newbie chocolate tasters into a false sense of security; at which point, the heat of the chilli arrives, popping the eyes wider and eliciting automatic sounds of “Oooh!” or “MMMM”.

This fantastic chilli and chocolate bar introduces chocolate explorers to a whole new world of surprisingly satisfying chocolate flavour pairing. They have experimented with this recipe until it was absolutely perfect; and the rest of our team agree. We can confirm that no socks were blown off during the tasting session at Spotty Dog Farm Shop!

About Choc Affair

Choc Affair is a small business based in Yorkshire. They are proud of their heritage, and as an independent, family run company, their relationships with their suppliers are really important to them. By choosing to purchase all of their packaging through British companies, they believe they are supporting the success and growth of the UK’s industry. Of course, they could choose to purchase less expensive packaging from other countries –but really, that would go against everything they set out to accomplish as a business. Their goal is to ensure that the choices they make have a positive impact on the people and world around them; and where better to start than in the beautiful place they call home.

In sourcing their chocolate, they’ve chosen to work with another family owned company who have strong values, and an inspirational story to tell about all the work they do to ensure that they leave their community in Colombia a better place to be. Choc Affair believe that as a business, they should have a sense of ownership of their locality, working towards making a positive impact that goes beyond purely employment; and choosing to use all they do as a force for good in the wider world (which they constantly continue to work hard for).
